Heritage Woods of Flora, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host an appreciation open house from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 7.
The community, which is located at 1003 W. 4th St. in Flora, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.
The open house will be held at the newly renovated community and is designed to show appreciation for area veterans, active military members and emergency services personnel.
Stacey Earlywine will sing the national anthem, and veterans from Heritage Woods will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
The community will have a posting of the flag by the Shooting Stars Drill Team.
Local resident Mary Kenley will play the piano during the open house.
Refreshments will be served.

Heritage Woods of Flora is the only senior living community in Clay County that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program. The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
