Heritage Woods of Dwight Affordable Assisted Living to Host Informational Program on the Do's and Don'ts of Arthritis

Heritage Woods of Dwight, a BMA Management affordable assisted living community], a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Quality Home Health informational program on the Do's and Don'ts of Arthritis at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.

The community, which is located at 701 E. Mazon in Dwight, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

The Arthritis program is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

"Heritage Woods provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Peg Spear, Director of Marketing. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Private studio and one-bedroom apartments are available. Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, houskeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Spear.

The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., of Bradley, Illinois, and is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program.

BMA Management is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

BMA operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

The communities operated by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Bolingbrook, Manteno, Ottawa, Plainfield, Watseka and Yorkville, Illinois.

BMA will be managing the St. Anthony affordable assisted living community that is under development in Lansing, Illinois. The community is scheduled to open for occupancy later this year. Reservations are being accepted.
