Heritage Woods of Dwight Affordable Assisted Living to Host Holiday Craft Show
Date:11/15/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) November 15, 2013

Heritage Woods of Dwight, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host a Holiday Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 16.

The community, which is located at 701 E. Mazon in Dwight, Illinois, serves seniors of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

More than 20 vendors will fill the lobby and halls of the community – “and they will have the perfect gifts and decorations to make your holiday special,” said Heritage Woods Resident Services Coordinator Becky Gish.

The Dwight Women’s Club will also set up a bake sale during the show.

For more information about the holiday craft show or Heritage Woods, call 815-584-9280.

The Heritage Woods of Dwight affordable assisted living community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

The community combines a residential apartment-home environment with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.

"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Becky Gish, Resident Services Coordinator at Heritage Woods of Dwight.

Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Gish.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 37 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house more than 3,700 homes and apartments.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, "is to provide Heritage Woods of Dwight residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need. Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Bolingbrook, Manteno, Ottawa, Plainfield, Watseka and Yorkville, Illinois.
