Heritage Woods of Dwight Affordable Assisted Living Invites Community to Meet Animals During Humane Society Visit
Date:8/27/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 27, 2013

Heritage Woods of Dwight, a BMA affordable assisted living community, invites area residents to join them when the Livingston County Humane Society brings animals for a visit at 1 p.m. on Sept. 9.

The community, which is located at 701 E. Mazon in Dwight, Illinois, serves seniors of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Join us as the Humane Society employees bring over some of their adorable animals looking for a little love and forever home,” said Becky Gish, Resident Services Coordinator for Heritage Woods of Dwight.

For more information about the animal visit or Heritage Woods of Dwight, call 815-584-9280.

The Heritage Woods of Dwight affordable assisted living community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

The community combines a residential apartment-home environment with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.

"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Gish.

Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Gish.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 38 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house more than 3,800 apartments.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, "is to provide Heritage Woods of Dwight residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need. Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Bolingbrook, Manteno, Ottawa, Plainfield, Watseka and Yorkville, Illinois.
