Heritage Woods of Chicago Affordable Assisted Living to Offer Zumba Class
Date:5/13/2013

Bradley, IL (PRWEB) May 13, 2013

Heritage Woods of Chicago, a BMA affordable assisted living community on Chicago's west side, is offering a Zumba class at 3 p.m. on the third Friday of the month, starting May 17.

The community, which is located at 2800 W. Fulton in Chicago, Illinois, serves low-income older adults, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

"Zumba is a dance exercise program that is designed to burn calories by combining Latin and international music with some simple and easy-to-learn dance steps," says Cindy Gladney, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Chicago. "The program will be led by a dance instructor, who will have you moving, rockin' and shakin', so come and join us."

The Zumba dance class is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

For more information about the Zumba class or Heritage Woods of Chicago, call 773-722-2900.

"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Gladney. "Residents benefit from living in their own private apartment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities and wellness programs such as the Zumba class," says Gladney.

Heritage Woods of Chicago is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, "is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need."

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

Communities managed by BMA include Churchview Supportive Living on the southwest side of Chicago and the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Batavia, Bolingbrook, Gurnee, Manteno, McHenry, Plainfield and Yorkville, Illinois.
