Heritage Woods of Charleston Affordable Assisted Living to Host Macy's Parade Pastry Party
Date:11/25/2013

Bradley, IL (PRWEB) November 25, 2013

Heritage Woods of Charleston, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host a Macy’s Parade Pastry Party from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 28.

The community, which is located at 480 Polk Ave. in Charleston, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Whether you are spending Thanksgiving alone or simply need a break from family, stop in for our pastry parade party,” said Director of Marketing Samantha Landrus. “We promise fun, fellowship and delicious treats for everyone who stops by Heritage Woods.”

For more information about the party or Heritage Woods of Charleston, call 217-345-4900.

Heritage Woods combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services, says Landrus.

Residents live in private studio and one-bedroom apartments, which they furnish and decorate to their taste. Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special events," says Landrus.

The Heritage Woods affordable assisted living community is certified to operate through the Illinois Suppo
