Heritage Woods of Charleston Affordable Assisted Living to Host Folk Concert
Date:8/31/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) August 31, 2013

Heritage Woods of Charleston, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will celebrate Grandparents Day with a folk-inspired musical performance at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 7.

The community, which is located at 480 Polk Ave. in Charleston, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

Local performer Brad Garr will entertain guests with old time folk music. Refreshments will be served.

“Enjoy some great music and help us celebrate the grandparents at Heritage Woods and throughout the Charleston area,” said Director of Marketing Samantha Landrus.

For more information, call 217-345-4900.

Heritage Woods combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services, says Landrus.

Residents live in private studio and one-bedroom apartments, which they furnish and decorate to their taste. Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special events," says Landrus.

The Heritage Woods affordable assisted living community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Managemen
