Bradley, IL (PRWEB) July 28, 2013

Heritage Woods of Belvidere, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host a health and wellness seminar at 2 p.m. on Aug. 2.

The community, which is located at 4730 Squaw Prairie Rd. in Belvidere, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.

“Take an opportunity to learn a few simple tools to extend and improve your life,” said Belvidere Administrator Ed Alvarez.

The seminar is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.

For more information, call 815-544-9495.

Heritage Woods of Belvidere is the only senior living community in Boone County, Illinois, that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program.

The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

'We provide older adults of all incomes with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Alvarez. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Each of the private one-bedroom apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities and special programs," says Alvarez.

BMA Management is based in Bradley, Illinois. The company operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, "is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that the need. Our emphasis is on helping each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Rockford, Sterling, DeKalb, Ottawa, McHenry and Gurnee, Illinois.

BMA also manages the Heritage Woods assisted living communities in Huntley and Freeport, Illinois.
