Heritage Woods of Belvidere Affordable Assisted Living to Host Father's Day Cook-Out

Heritage Woods of Belvidere, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Father's Day Cook-Out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14.

The community, which is located at 4730 Squaw Prairie Rd. in Belvidere, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid.

"Come join us as we salute fathers and stay after the cookout for outdoor games such as horseshoes and bags" says Ed Alvarez, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Belvidere.

The community's Father's Day Cook-Out is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

Heritage Woods of Belvidere is the only senior living community in Boone County, Illinois, that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program.

The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

'We provide older adults of all incomes with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Alvarez. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Each of the private one-bedroom apartments features a kictenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities and special programs," sats Alvarez.

BMA Management is based in Bradley, Illinois. The company operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

Heritage Woods of Freeport, an affordable assisted living community that is being developed in Freeport, Illinois, will be managed by BMA. The community is scheduled to open for occupancy this summer. Reservations are being accepted.
