Herbalist.com Launches Largest Natural Health Database Connecting Local Businesses with Local Consumers
Date:12/18/2012

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 18, 2012

Having undergone a complete redesign, herbalist.com now offers a directory of more than 75,000 local businesses that can be searched both by zip code and category. Adam Guild, owner of herbalist.com says “The herbalist.com data base continues to grow in leaps and bounds with over 10,000 new natural health businesses being added, reviewed, rated and updated each month.”     In addition, Herbalist.com offers a variety of health-related articles, news, a discussion forum, photos and more for anyone interested in natural health.

“Natural health and living well are more important to people in the United States than ever, so we’re thrilled to offer the largest database of natural health businesses in the country on Herbalist.com,” said Adam Guild, founder and CEO of Herbalist.com. “Our focus is on health and well-being, so we’re pleased that our new data platform will connect consumers with local businesses.”

And the timing is perfect: Sales of natural and organic food and beverages in the United States have grown from $1 billion in 1990 to $26.7 billion in 2010, according to the Organic Trade Association. Likewise, more than 60 percent of Americans have visited a natural food store in the past year, again underscoring the focus on and popularity of natural products in the United States.

Categories in the country’s largest database of natural health businesses include: acupuncture, chiropractors, acupuncture schools, coffee and tea, grocers with health food, health and diet food retail locations, herbalists, herbs, meditation instruction, organic farms, organic foods and services, schools of chiropractic, yoga schools, tea rooms, vitamin and food supplements and yoga instruction. The recent site redesign focuses on offering access to more health-related businesses across the country as well as updating articles and news topics.
