Heartland Information Services Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

TOLEDO, Ohio, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Heartland Information Services, a national provider of full-service medical transcription services, has promoted Brett S. Himes to President and Chief Executive Officer. Previously Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Himes will assume the President and CEO position immediately.

Himes will be taking over for former CEO, Jerry C. Cirino, who has accepted a new position with Reichert, Inc. Reichert is owned by Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company, the same private equity company that owns Heartland Information Services. Cirino will remain on the Heartland Information Services Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Heartland in August 2007, Himes was Executive Vice President and CFO of SourceOne Healthcare Technologies, the largest radiology supplies distributor in the U.S. Prior to that, he spent six years with McKesson, where he was Vice President of Finance of the Supply Management Business and then Senior Vice President and CFO of the Medical-Surgical Business. Himes holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard and is a Certified Public Accountant.
