HeartWare to Present at Seventh Annual JMP Securities Research Conference

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., and SYDNEY, Australia, May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HeartWare Limited (ASX: HTW) today announced that it is scheduled to make an investor presentation at the Seventh Annual JMP Securities Research Conference at 9:30 a.m. PT (12:30 p.m. ET) on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. The conference is being held at the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco May 19-21.

A live webcast of the Company's presentation at the conference will be available via a link provided at http://www.heartware.com. An archived replay of the presentation will be available shortly after the presentation time for a period of 90 days.

About HeartWare

HeartWare develops and manufactures miniaturized implantable heart pumps, or Left Ventricular Assist Devices, designed to treat patients suffering from advanced heart failure. The Company is developing smaller and less invasive pumps, which it believes will be the key to unlocking the potential of a large and underserved market. The HeartWare(R) LVAS is a full-output pump designed to be implanted in the chest, avoiding the abdominal surgery generally required to implant competing devices. The pump is currently the subject of an international clinical trial involving five investigational centres in Europe and Australia. A clinical trial in the U.S. is expected to commence shortly following receipt of conditional approval of an IDE in early May 2008.
