Comedian Greg Fitzsimmons, who hosts a daily program on Sirius satellite radio, emceed the gala with his irreverent humor. It was a memorable evening that also featured rousing performances by pop singer, Mateo, country-pop artist Joel Crouse and veteran singer-songwriter-musician Richard Marx (“Endless Summer Nights,” “Right Here Waiting” and “Don’t Mean Nothing”).

The Gala was attended by 400 of the most high-powered names in entertainment, business and sport, including Walt Disney Studios Chairman, Alan Horn and his wife, Cindy Horn an environmental and public health advocate; David H. Murdock, Chairman of Dole Food Company and majority owner of the California Health and Longevity Institute in Westlake Village; NFL quarterback, Jimmy Clausen and NFL running back, Brandon Jackson. Alanis Morissette is among the supporters of the event.

HeartView Global Foundation is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of identifying patients with asymptomatic coronary artery disease for whom preventive measures can be taken to avoid heart attacks, strokes and sudden cardiac death. In addition to supporting research led by Daniel Berman, MD, at Cedars-Sinai in heart attack prevention, the Foundation funds are used to allow patients who need testing to get a coronary CT angiogram, the most accurate test for determining the risk of heart attack.
