Healthspottr Launches New Fellows Program for Health Innovators

Healthspottr has assembled an independent committee of the industry's foremost experts in healthcare innovation to review nominations and select the fellows. In addition to past accomplishments, candidates will be evaluated based on future potential to make an innovative contribution to the transformation of healthcare in the U.S. Innovations will be judged based on likely ability to expand access to care and to improve the efficiency and quality of care within a timeframe of the next two-to-five years. Members of the Healthspottr Future Health 100, an annual listing of the most influential innovators working in healthcare today, are automatically nominated for fellowship consideration.

"We launched Healthspottr with two key objectives: to engage the community of healthcare innovators through our monthly salons and address the lack of thoughtful reporting on healthcare innovation through a weekly web digest," said Carleen Hawn, co-founder and editor of Healthspottr. "The Annual Healthspottr Fellows Program gives us the unusual opportunity to move beyond merely showcasing innovation to actually nurturing it."

Nominees for the Healthspottr Fellowship program may work in the for-profit, not-for-profit or government sectors. The nominee's work must demonstrate potential to positively impact the U.S. market. Financial need will also be taken into consideration during the evaluations. Self-nominations will not be accepted. The official terms of eligibility and complete nomination requirements for the fellowships can be found on the Healthspottr site.
