Healthesystems Appoints Dr. Robert L. Goldberg as Chief Medical Officer

served as President of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and Vice-Chair of Occupational Medicine of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and continues to serve both organizations. He is Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and has over 25 years of medical management experience, having worked closely with payers, employers, third party administrators and patients.

“I am excited about the opportunity to apply my medical expertise and leadership skills to expand the clinical direction of Healthesystems,” stated Dr. Goldberg. “Healthesystems affords me the unique opportunity to leverage my significant experience across all aspects of occupational medicine and look at the entire treatment spectrum for injured workers.”

As a national leader in his field, Dr. Goldberg has been invited to speak at both international and national symposiums and conferences. He recently published and presented research findings from a national collaborative study on ergonomics and musculoskeletal disorders in workers in four industries to the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).

Prior to joining Healthesystems, Dr. Robert Goldberg served as Chief Medical Officer for Landmark Healthcare, Inc. in which he was responsible for clinical operations and utilization management of physical medicine services.
