In this edition of Healthcare Tech and the World, Dr. Kevin Fickenscher, Chief Medical Officer & Executive Vice President of Healthcare Transformation for Perot Systems, discusses the challenges and opportunities for change with Dr. Suzanne Delbanco, one of the nation's leading voices for quality improvements in Healthcare.

According to Dr. Delbanco, "the aim (of her work) is to ultimately take advantage of the know-how and technology that exists today, that we know could make a huge difference, and get it implemented so that it can benefit a patient."

Dr. Delbanco is the former Executive Director of the Leapfrog Group, and the focus of her work consists in driving improvements in the Healthcare industry. Dr. Delbanco is on the board of Bridges to Excellence as well as Prometheus Payment, Inc. She has been a member of the NCQA Advisory Council, and previously worked with the Pacific Business Group on Health as a member of their Quality Team. Dr. Delbanco received both her MPH and Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
