The role of the healthcare consumer: "We (Microsoft) believe that healthcare is becoming, and needs to become, much more consumer centric. The consumer has a huge role to play here, and we want to arm that consumer with all the information and tools that they need to take better care of themselves."

The focus of Microsoft in Healthcare: "It's the whole Healthcare ecosystem with the consumer in the middle. How do we aggregate health information to the consumer, how do we give the consumer control of that information, how do we keep it private, but how do we let the consumer share with whomever he or she wants to share their information with .... A lot of the stuff I was dreaming about 10 years ago is now coming to fruition."
