Healthcare Partners Medical Group to Host Free Medicare Benefits Presentations

With a commitment to helping seniors and their families understand their Medicare benefits and options, HealthCare Partners Medical Group and Affiliated Physicians is hosting three "Knowing Your Medicare Benefits for 2009" comparison presentations during December in communities throughout Los Angeles County.

Torrance, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2008 -- With a commitment to helping seniors and their families understand their Medicare benefits and options, HealthCare Partners Medical Group and Affiliated Physicians is hosting three "Knowing Your Medicare Benefits for 2009" benefits comparison presentations during December in Long Beach, Glendale, and Santa Clarita.

The no-cost sales presentations--coinciding with the November 15-December 31 Medicare Open Enrollment time period--are meant to help seniors learn about the 2009 Medicare benefits and their Medicare Advantage Plan options. Seniors and their families and guests will have a chance to compare and contrast various health plan options that are available to Medicare-eligible individuals.

The "Knowing Your Medicare Benefits for 2009" presentations will feature information about original Medicare, as well as discussions about Medicare benefits and Medicare Advantage Plans--managed care plans that may offer Medicare-eligible individuals additional coordinated care services at no extra cost. Representatives from many of the Medicare Advantage health plans that HealthCare Partners doctors accept will give short presentations and be on hand to answer questions about their plans.

Representatives from the nonprofit Center for Health Care Rights in Los Angeles and the Social Security Administration will also be present at some locations for the "Kn
