FLINT, Mich., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruce R. Hill has been appointed Interim President and CEO of HealthPlus of Michigan. He succeeds David Crosby, who recently resigned to accept a position as president of HealthAmerica's Central Pennsylvania Region.
Hill's selection was announced by Gerald Piesko, D.O., Chairman of the HealthPlus board of directors.
"The Board has the utmost confidence that Bruce and his executive team will effectively lead our organization through this transition," Piesko said, noting that Hill has served as Vice President with a broad range of executive responsibilities for HealthPlus since 1994.
"Bruce's in-depth knowledge of health-plan management -- along with his impressive experience in growing revenue, introducing new products, and developing constructive relationships with both purchasers and health-care providers -- should prove to be invaluable assets as HealthPlus moves forward," said Piesko.
"It is truly an honor and privilege for me to serve HealthPlus as its Interim President and CEO, and to work with our team to continue the high level of performance and value we've achieved," Hill said. "While Michigan's economic conditions are challenging, I view the future as full of opportunities, and am confident that HealthPlus is well-positioned to capitalize on its many strengths.
"Among these strengths are rankings of quality and service to our members that are among the highest in America," Hill continued. "In addition, through the focused work of a very talented and dedicated team of employees and an outstanding group of physicians and hospitals, we have secured a strong financial position from which to operate."
