FLINT, Mich., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruce R. Hill has been appointed Interim President and CEO of HealthPlus of Michigan. He succeeds David Crosby, who recently resigned to accept a position as president of HealthAmerica's Central Pennsylvania Region.
Hill's selection was announced by Gerald Piesko, D.O., Chairman of the HealthPlus board of directors.
"The Board has the utmost confidence that Bruce and his executive team will effectively lead our organization through this transition," Piesko said, noting that Hill has served as Vice President with a broad range of executive responsibilities for HealthPlus since 1994.
"Bruce's in-depth knowledge of health-plan management -- along with his impressive experience in growing revenue, introducing new products, and developing constructive relationships with both purchasers and health-care providers -- should prove to be invaluable assets as HealthPlus moves forward," said Piesko.

Before joining HealthPlus, Hill, 46, served for five years as director of business development and trauma emergency services at Southwest Washington Medical Center near Portland, Ore.
Prior to that, he was senior consultant at Wheaton Franciscan Services, Inc., a large Catholic health system in the Chicago area. He began his career working with the executive team at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Mich., in the 1980s.
A native of Saginaw, Mich., Hill earned his bachelor's degree in Economics
and master's degree in Health Services Administration at the
Hill and his wife, Angela, reside in Saginaw with their five children: Ashley, Natalie, Austin, Connor and Mara.
