HealthPartners Medical Group in Michigan City purchases IDC digital radiography system
Date:6/24/2008

Upgrades new facility from film to IDC 1600 Plus X-Series DR

CALGARY, June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - IDC (Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd.) (TSX: IDL), the global leader in the rapidly growing market for digital radiography (DR), today announced that HealthPartners Medical Group of Indiana and Michigan has purchased IDC's 1600 Plus X-Series DR system. HealthPartners is a multi-specialty physician group with facilities in Michigan City, Chesterton, LaPorte, and Westville, Indiana and New Buffalo, Michigan. The system will be installed in the Group's new orthopaedic facility in their Michigan City location.

HealthPartners Medical Group is comprised of more than 50 physicians offering adult, pediatric and specialized medical care. The practice is a member of the prestigious Sisters of Saint Francis Health Services, Inc., with sister hospitals in Indiana and Illinois.

"We evaluated upgrading our analog X-ray to a computed radiography system, but it quickly became clear that we could generate greater throughput and treat more patients with fewer staff by implementing IDC digital radiography," said Cheryl Stanley, Surgical Specialties Department Manager for HealthPartners Group. "In addition, IDC's price for DR was competitive with CR, making the purchase of the X-Series a good decision in regards to both budget and patient care."

"The 1600 Plus is an excellent fit for a multi-location practice with high patient volume. We are proud that IDC's X-Series has been chosen by HealthPartners Group, which is esteemed for its excellent care throughout the Indiana and Michigan region."

IDC is collaborating with its regional partner RPS Imaging on installation and ongoing service of the contract with HealthPartners Medical Group. According to RPS Sales Representative Kathy White, "Our close working relationship with IDC, consistent success with IDC products, and our combined commitment to service excellence were all important factors in winning this prestigious account." Since its inception in 1977, RPS has grown to be the second largest independent radiology sales and service provider in the Midwest and 12th largest in the country.
