Employer Vantage Provides a Snapshot of Employer Health Benefits to Help Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic Manufacturers Identify Business Opportunities

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthLeaders-InterStudy, the leading provider of managed care market intelligence, has released an enhanced version of Employer Vantage, a Web-based product that integrates multiple data sets to identify who the nation's largest employers partner with for health and pharmacy benefits and what benefits are offered.

With an expanded employer database and an easy-to-use, Web-based interface, Employer Vantage integrates multiple unique data sets, including proprietary data from HealthLeaders-InterStudy and respected third party data sources. Employer Vantage allows national account managers to understand the relationships that exist between employers, health plans and pharmacy benefit managers by connecting:

  • 2000 of the largest U.S. employers and their subsidiaries, including the Fortune 1000 companies and their subsidiaries
  • 396 managed care organizations
  • More than 50 pharmacy benefit managers

Understanding these connections is important to pharmaceutical and diagnostic manufacturers looking to allocate sales force resources and identify partnership opportunities.

"Understanding employer health benefits is more important than ever, particularly as more employers look to self-insure. In areas where the largest employers are self-insured, direct-to-employer sales strategies are essential," said Carol Barry, new product development manager for HealthLeaders-InterStudy. "It's also important to understand how employers are working with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). By connecting employers, health plans and PBMs in one tool, Employer Vantage becomes a valuable resource for understanding where the leading self-insured employers are and what benefits they are offering."

Employer Vantage Product Features

Users can create customized, exportable reports highlighting the regions, employers and insurance carriers that are most vital to their market strategy. Data can be sorted by:

  • Employer
  • Insurance carrier
  • Pharmacy benefit management company
  • Geography
