  • Hilary Waldman, Director of Community Relations and Outreach, The Hispanic Health Council
  • Teresa Younger, Executive Director, Permanent Commission on the Status of Women

  • In addition, Health Justice CT today launched its online presence on Facebook and Twitter. The program’s Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/healthjusticeCT and Twitter account is @healthjusticeCT.

“We’re committed to supporting this unique program based on initial research conducted by our partnering agency, the Society for New Communications Research, which suggests there is currently very little online discussion about racial and ethnic health disparities,” commented Patricia Baker, president & CEO of the Connecticut Health Foundation (CT Health). “We are gratified to have thought leaders within the Connecticut community to help us harness the power of social media and ignite a passion for health justice.”

    About Health Justice CT

Health Justice CT is an initiative designed to use social media channels as the foundation for creating a movement of Connecticut residents dedicated to working together to raise awareness about the issue of racial and ethnic disparities, find innovative solutions, and ultimately achieve health justice for everyone in Connecticut. The program is funded by the Connecticut Health Foundation (CT Health) and is being managed by the foundation’s grantee, the Society for New Communications Research, in conjunction with communications agency CRT/tanaka.
