Date:6/14/2010

Featured speaker Dr. Donna Wagner presents latest research and workplace strategies

Plymouth Meeting, PA (Vocus) June 14, 2010 -- Health Advocate™, Inc., the nation’s leading independent healthcare advocacy and assistance company, in partnership with HealthyWomen, the nation’s leading independent health information source for women, is pleased to announce a FREE interactive webinar on Caregiving: The Impact on the Workplace.

The goal of the webinar is to increase awareness of the growing trend of employees caring for loved ones; the result of aging family members needing care and the increase of women (“traditional caregivers”) in the workforce. “About one in three employees are faced with balancing their jobs and caregiving duties for a loved one who is sick, elderly or has special needs,” says Dr. Abbie Leibowitz, Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and cofounder of Health Advocate, Inc. Dr. Leibowitz, who will be moderating the webinar, noted, “caregiving-related absences, turnover, replacement, lost productivity and stress-related illness cost businesses an estimated $33 billion each year.”

The webinar will focus on best practices and solutions for meeting the challenge of caregiving in the workplace. All are invited to attend, however, human resource professionals, business leaders and caregivers will find the subject matter especially helpful. Topics covered will include Employee Assistance Programs, Work/Life Balance Programs, wellness programs, eldercare counseling, flexible schedules, expanded benefits, and health advocacy.

In addition, all webinar attendees will receive a free white paper and checklist on ca
