Harvard Business Publishing to Present Two Sessions at Elliott Masie’s Learning 2013

Harvard Business Publishing will deliver two sessions at Elliott Masie’s Learning 2013 conference, held November 3 – 6 in Orlando, Florida. The first session will present key research on technology adoption for leader development, and Farmers Insurance will present a case study of its midlevel management development program.

"It’s Time to Shake Up Leader Development: New Expectations, New Technologies" will present recent research and real-world examples of new leadership development approaches. Jeff DeSmet, Senior Instructional Designer, and Michelle Humes Johnson, Senior Learning Solutions Manager, will cover a broad range of technologies – from virtual delivery to collaboration software to MOOCs. (Monday, November 4th 1:45pm, Coronado G)

A second session, entitled, "How Farmers Insurance Is Transforming its Mid-Level Managers Into Effective Leaders," features Jessica DiCanio, Learning and Development Manager at Farmers Insurance. She will showcase how Farmers Insurance designed and implemented Breakthrough Leadership for 350 leaders. She will share the dramatic results – including 100% of the first cohort of 50 participants saying they would recommend the program to a colleague. (Tuesday, November 5th, 11:15am, Coronado C)
