Harrison City ROCKS! Set for August 15, Music Festival to Benefit Cardiac Research at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The second annual Harrison City ROCKS! Festival kicks off Saturday, August 15, 12 p.m., at the Harrison City Municipal Park, to benefit the Matthew P. Fischerkeller Memorial Fund, which helps support cardiac research at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

Fischerkeller was a 16-year-old high honors student at Penn Trafford High School, who suddenly passed away in his sleep, April 14, 2005. His parents, Paul and Kris Fischerkeller, created the memorial fund with the help of the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County. The fund's mission is to promote and support research for the prevention of sudden cardiac arrest in children because of congenital heart disorders.

"Harrison City ROCKS!" will feature live music, food and other entertainment, including Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers, who will take the stage at 12 p.m. The event will also feature rock and roll, punk and alternative music performances, including The Composure, Gene the Werewolf, Havannah Drive, and many others.

Doors open at 11 a.m. for the all ages show. Tickets are $12 at the door and online. Advance tickets are available for $8 at www.urockus.org.
