Hannah Kim and Nick Saam, Owners of Pet Wants Jax Beach, Recognized with National Rookie of the Year Award
Date:3/19/2019

Pet Wants is pleased to announce that Nick Saam and Hannah Kim, the local owners of Pet Wants Jax Beach, have been recognized with the inaugural 2018 Rookie of the Year Award. The award was presented at the company’s national conference on February 19, 2019.

“Nick and Hannah joined the Pet Wants family in the summer of 2018 and launched their business incredibly quickly and efficiently. With a drive towards executing brand standards, but also an eye towards innovation, they came up with a unique idea to make an immediate impact in their market by using a 25-foot Airstream as a rolling Pet Wants store. They set a new record for mobile franchise sales in their third full month of operation and we’re pleased to be able to recognize them with the Rookie of the Year Award,” Pet Wants President Scott Hoots said.

Pet Wants Jax Beach is a mobile business – operating as both a mobile shop and a pet food truck out of a renovated 1969 Airstream – and they offer free delivery of their products and locally sourced pet products to the entire Jacksonville area. In addition to finding them at local farmer’s markets, Hannah and Nick take their mobile shop to food truck events, so pets can join in on the party with single-serve meals.

“We’re excited to have been recognized with the Pet Wants Rookie of the Year Award. We’ve been open less than a year and the support we’ve received from the community has been awesome. As we come up on our first anniversary, we’re looking to continue to expand the business and serve more pet families throughout the Jacksonville area,” Nick said.

Pet Wants’ specially-crafted pet food formulas are made in small batches with fresh, natural ingredients enhanced with vitamins and minerals for a complete and balanced diet in every bowl. Pet Wants Jax Beach offers multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas as well as a holistic approach to pet health with Cannabidiol, better known as CBD, products or their homemade products with essential oils to naturally defend, heal, and calm your dog.

“At Pet Wants Jax Beach, we are focused on providing fresh, high-quality food as well as high-quality treats and Spaw products that can help pets live happy, healthy lives. Whether you visit us in our Airstream or you have us deliver products right to your home, if you ever have a question or would like to talk about which products to try for your individual pet, we are here to help,” Hannah said.

Pet Wants has a 100-percent, money-back guarantee on the freshness and quality of the food and the company only sources the best salmon, chicken, lamb, brown rice and other ingredients available. There’s no sugar added, no fillers and no animal by-products and Pet Wants never uses corn, wheat, soy or dyes, which makes the food great for animals with allergies. Also, because the food is sold by the pound, customers can buy multiple blends at once so their pets aren’t eating the same food every single day.

About Pet Wants: Pet Wants was founded in Cincinnati in 2010 to bring fresh, natural and conveniently-delivered pet food to pet families. Their mission is to enhance the health, vitality and life of pets with high-quality food and honest advice from a Pet Nutrition Specialist on staff at each location. Pet Wants pet food is personally delivered to homes within weeks of being made, at the height of freshness. Their food doesn’t sit in warehouses and on store shelves for many months getting stale and losing nutritional value like it does for most mass-produced, national brands. Pet Wants’ private label pet food formulas are slow-cooked in small batches with fresh, natural ingredients and enhanced with vitamins and minerals for a complete and balanced meal. Pet Wants only uses high-quality proteins and never uses added sugar, fillers, animal by-products, corn, wheat, soy or dyes. Pet Wants offers multiple blends of dog and cat food formulas as well as healing salve, calming balm, anti-itch spray, paw wax and more. Through an investment and guidance from Franchise Funding Group, Pet Wants expanded into a national franchise in 2015 and grew to nearly 100 locations within just three years.
