Halcyon Completes First Acquisition in South Georgia
Date:1/15/2013

Valdosta, GA (PRWEB) January 15, 2013

Halcyon announces the completion of the first hospice acquisition in South Georgia. The acquired company is Grace Hospice, located in Valdosta, GA.

Halcyon was formed in 2010 by Health Evolution Partners (HEP), Dan Kohl, and Jack Draughon to build the leading hospice and home health company in the Southeastern U.S. Halcyon completed their first two acquisitions in 2011 covering more than 40 counties in North Georgia. This acquisition marks the first entry into South Georgia, expanding the footprint of Halcyon by twelve counties.

“Grace Hospice has an outstanding reputation for providing top quality patient care and customer service,” says Dan Kohl, CEO of Halcyon. “We’re delighted that Betty Steedley and Sharon Cunningham, the former owners, will be on board to help us grow the South Georgia territory and honored for the opportunity to continue their top notch level of service.”

“We decided to sell to Halcyon because we were excited about the potential to build the leading hospice in South Georgia,” says Sharon Cunningham, one of the former owners of Grace Hospice. “We look forward to working with the Halcyon team.”

Halcyon will initially operate under the Grace Hospice name and provide the same level of outstanding service that patients and families have become accustomed to receiving.
