Haemonetics Appoints Executive Leadership of European Operations

Mikael Gordon Hired as President of Haemonetics Europe

BRAINTREE, Mass., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Haemonetics Corporation is pleased to announce that Mikael Gordon will join the company effective November 12, 2007 as President of Haemonetics Europe. Mr. Gordon will have responsibility for European operations, including sales and marketing, services, finance and human resources and will be based at the company's European Headquarters in Signy, Switzerland. He will also join Haemonetics' global Operating Committee.

Mr. Gordon has more than 20 years of management experience across broad functions and disciplines, with particular focus in life sciences and healthcare. He was employed in executive management, sales, marketing, strategic planning, and information technology positions during his ten year career at Amersham Pharmacia and later GE Healthcare when it acquired Amersham. Most recently, Mr. Gordon was Regional Executive Manager, North and West Europe for GE Healthcare Clinical Systems, which provides hospitals with anesthesia, ventilation, and diagnostic cardiology systems and services. Prior to GE Healthcare, he was employed in executive positions with Lagerkvist & Partners AB, BNL Information AB, Industrifinans Service AB, and McCormack and Dodge AB.

Mr. Gordon, age 52, is a graduate of Stockholm School of Economics and holds a bachelor of science degree in international economics and business administration.
