Haas TCM Inc. Forms PCM Solutions, LLC, a Joint Venture With Nalco Company, to Provide Chemical Management Services (CMS) to the Process Industries
Date:12/11/2008

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Haas TCM Inc. of West Chester, PA announces today that it has formed a joint venture named PCM Solutions, LLC, with Nalco Company to provide chemical management services (CMS) to customers in the process industries, such as chemical and petrochemical manufacturing, petroleum refining and energy exploration and production, pulp and paper manufacturing, food and beverage production, and various other industries such as textiles, cosmetics and pharmaceutical drug manufacturing.

The name of the joint venture company means "process chemical management solutions" and is majority owned and managed by Haas TCM. Leigh Hayes, Executive Vice President at Haas TCM, will be PCM Solutions' inaugural Manager. "In this configuration," says Hayes, "Haas TCM will extend to the joint venture its CMS operating model, including tcmIS(TM), its world class technology platform."

"The combination of Haas TCM's chemical logistics capabilities and our tcmIS(TM) technology platform coupled with Nalco's world class process know-how and technologies make a unique and powerful combination of capabilities tailored to process industries customers," says Thad Fortin, Haas' CEO.

Since its inception in the mid-1990's, CMS providers have focused primarily on non-process industries such as the automotive, aerospace and electronics industries. "This joint venture signals a major step in the evolution of the CMS business," says Fortin. "We just needed a little experience to determine how to develop our resources to serve collateral but vastly different markets," says Fortin. "Our experience with several process industry customers over the past three years has produced savings and chemical efficiencies similar to our traditional customers. This joint venture is the proper vehicle to package and deliver these resources as well as those of Nalco to add greater value to all process industries customers," he adds.

Haas TCM is headquartered in West Chester, PA, with about 800 employees on four continents. Haas TCM currently provides chemical lifecycle management services to government and commercial customers in many industries.

Nalco Company is the global leader in water, energy, air and process technologies and services that deliver savings for customers and improve the environment. For more information visit www.nalco.com.
