HTH Worldwide Unveils First Digital Healthcare Card

My Digital ID for Travelers Makes Doctor Visits Abroad Even Easier

RADNOR, Pa., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- HTH Worldwide, a global health and safety services company, today announced the introduction of My Digital ID, the world's first digital healthcare card. My Digital ID enables HTH members to access all the information on their health plan identification card via their mobile phone. Global travelers can rely on direct access to HTH's eligibility database to show proof of coverage and to initiate international assistance services with one click.

"HTH health plan members who carry mobile phones with internet access need not worry about losing or misplacing their healthcare card," said Angelo Masciantonio, Chief Executive Officer of HTH Worldwide. "HTH has put its market-leading mobile technology to create an industry first. We are working to make it more convenient than ever for our members to carry the information they need to get care from top medical providers all around the world. My Digital ID is an important addition to our mPassport(SM) suite of mobile tools and databases our members use to find carefully selected doctors and hospitals in 180 countries."

HTH is rolling out this service initially to members of its international student and study abroad plans. All the elements of HTH's standard healthcare cards -- including school and provider network logos -- are formatted to comfortably fit the mobile phone screen. The service will be expanded to HTH's health plans for business and leisure travelers and expatriates by the end of the year.
