HIPAA.com Launches HIPAA TV
Date:9/15/2009

ATLANTA, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- As the old expression goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words." This month HIPAA.com launches its sister site, HIPAA TV, to give its visitors an additional perspective on what to do and how to go about it. HIPAA TV expands the HIPAA.com knowledge-base with video clips of public announcements, speeches, demonstrations, case studies, and satire as they relate to HIPAA, the HITECH Act, and other legislative and regulatory healthcare initiatives to aid health systems and providers in benefiting from the new Health Information Technology stimulus dollars.

"Both sites are great sources of information for privacy and HIT," says Joseph E. Scherger, MD, MPH, Vice President of Primary Care at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Tune in to HIPAA TV to catch the latest programming related to HIPAA and the HITECH Act, and get notified of updates via email at http://www.hipaa.tv/subscribe or by following HIPAA TV on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/HIPAA_Explained.

HIPAA.com is the go-to resource site for information and services related to privacy laws and policies. Since its launch in January 2009, HIPAA.com has provided the healthcare community with a single site where visitors find immediate access to information on: HIPAA regulations on electronic transactions, privacy, and security; HITECH Act security rules for business associates, "breach notification" privacy requirements for disclosur
