NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- HCA today announced Donald W. Stinnett, 52, will become Senior Vice President and Controller, effective December 1, filling a currently vacant position.

Currently, Stinnett is Chief Financial Officer of HCA's Eastern Group. In his new role, Stinnett will report to R. Milton Johnson, HCA's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He will be responsible for the following areas: tax, financial reporting, accounting, insurance, risk management, capital asset management and budgeting.

Stinnett began his career with HCA in 1999 when he was named CFO of the company's Far West Division. He was promoted to CFO of HCA's Eastern Group in 2005. Prior to joining HCA, he served as CFO and Vice President of Finance for the Franciscan Health System of the Ohio Valley in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to joining Franciscan Sisters, he was a senior auditor at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.
A Certified Public Accountant, Stinnett is involved in numerous
professional organizations. In addition, he is a board member and treasurer of
Brightstone, Inc., a Franklin, Tenn.-based non-profit benefiting special-needs
