Gypsum Wallboard from CertainTeed's Moundsville, W. Va., Plant and Roofing Shingles among Building Materials Donated to St. Jude Dream Home(R)

VALLEY FORGE, Pa., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The St. Jude Dream Home(R) in Hurricane, W. Va., is home to the first drywall ever manufactured at the new CertainTeed Gypsum Plant in nearby Moundsville, W. Va. To support the annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, CertainTeed is donating gypsum wallboard and roofing shingles that will be used in the house.

The 3,100 square foot St. Jude Dream Home, which will be auctioned as part of a fundraiser for the organization, will include 330 pieces of CertainTeed ProRoc(R) wallboard and feature approximately 60 squares of CertainTeed Landmark(TM) designer shingles. The donation is being made in conjunction with The Contractor Yard in Charleston, W. Va., who is assisting with the delivery of the materials.

CertainTeed continues to focus on environmentally friendly products to enhance building sustainability and contribute to LEED(R) credits in green building design projects. All of ProRoc's face and back paper contain both pre- and post-consumer waste, with a recycled content of nearly 100 percent. Many CertainTeed roofing products are manufactured with pre- and post-consumer recycled content.
