Guatemala Aid Fund Wins Sponsorship from No More Poverty to Help Malnourished Children
Date:2/8/2013

s, hospitals and aid societies, including the Luz de Fatima Orphanage.

The Luz de Fatima Orphanage provides care, medical assistance, education and physical therapy to neglected and abandoned children. In order to expand the orphanage so that it can comfortably house 100 children, Luz de Fatima Director Barbara Cofino acquired a plot of land with the hope that a private high school could be built. The tuition from the high school would be used to fund the expansion and maintenance of the orphanage. However, Luz de Fatima still needs additional funding in order to construct and staff the high school. In addition to the Luz de Fatima Orphanage, the Guatemala Aid Fund supports the Luz de Maria Orphanage and Hospital, the Happy Heart aid program and the Hermano de Pedro Orphanage.

No More Poverty (http://www.nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501(c)3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.

Join us in the fight for No More Poverty. Suggestions for worthy partners in the fight for No More Poverty are welcome. No More Poverty does not accept monetary support, but instead encourages direct donations to the charities featured on the No More Poverty website.
