Greenway Medical Technologies' EHR Solution, PrimeSuite, Wins Three 'Best in KLAS' Awards
Date:12/15/2008

CARROLLTON, Ga., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenway Medical Technologies Inc. today announced that its fully integrated, single-database and interoperable electronic health record (EHR) solution, PrimeSuite(R), won three "Best in KLAS" awards in the annual 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards report. For the third consecutive year, PrimeSuite received the Best in KLAS award in the ambulatory EMR category for practices having between six and 25 physicians. Additionally, PrimeSuite received the Best in KLAS award in the ambulatory EMR category as the top rated EMR for practices having between two and five physicians. In the practice management category, PrimeSuite received a Best in KLAS award for practices having between six and 25 physicians.

The Best in KLAS rankings are major accomplishments within the healthcare information technology (HIT) industry as they are generated from information gathered by physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals that utilize and rely on the technology on a day-to-day basis.

These three Best in KLAS awards mark the culmination of a banner year for Greenway. In September 2008, Greenway's PrimeSuite 2008 became one of the first CCHIT Certified(R) 08 ambulatory EHRs based on criteria set forth by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT(R)), including certification for cardiovascular medicine and child health.

PrimeSuite is a key component to Greenway's integrated physician's infrastructure, providing single-database EHR, practice management and interoperability functionality. Greenway's integrated physician's infrastructure helps organizations reduce costs by optimizing point-of-care documentation, personal health records, quality reporting and clinical research. PrimeSuite, as well as all Greenway solutions, is built on Microsoft's .Net technology and also utilizes the latest Intel(R) Xeon(R) processor technology to maximize performance.

More than 22,000 healthcare providers and professionals in 30 specialties and subspecialties across the nation have adopted the PrimeSuite solution to advance their practices. To date, Greenway has partnered with nearly one thousand physician practices, helping to integrate their clinical, financial and administrative processes and delivering a proven return on investment (ROI).

"We are extremely honored to win a third consecutive Best in KLAS award in the ambulatory EMR market segment," said Tee Green, president of Greenway Medical Technologies. "Greenway is committed to creating the most usable, functional and interoperable EHR in healthcare and these 3 Best in KLAS awards underscore our achievements while highlighting our dedication to optimizing physician practices and hospital community EHR strategies across America."

"As economic conditions become more challenging, healthcare providers are under tremendous pressure to make every investment -- and every dollar -- count," said KLAS President Adam Gale. "The Best in KLAS awards were created to help providers make smart buying decisions, allowing them to cut through the hype to identify companies, products and services that are the best-performing in the healthcare industry. The 2008 Best in KLAS honorees represent a select group of healthcare software and services vendors that have demonstrated leadership in working with customers to resolve issues and match expectations to reality."
