Greenway Medical Technologies Continues to Champion Interoperability Efforts with Extensive Participation in HIMSS' 2009 Interoperability Showcase

Greenway will promote its functionality in Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS), which focuses on improvements made to medical repositories and registries. XDS ensures that repositories store documents in a consistent manner while the registry, which stores information about these documents, can be more easily located, selected and retrieved. XDS accepts a wide variety of documentation formats for medical records, without regard to content or design, enabling the integration process to function more smoothly and efficiently.

Greenway will also participate in several Retrieve Form for Data Capture (RFD) demonstrations, which set a standard for information exchange by employing a uniform method through which data is collected and shared. RFD facilitates the development of real world implementations or research integration into healthcare workflow, which will ultimately lead to a more seamless integration of healthcare. The data that is collected benefits the researchers, scientists and physicians who are trying to better understand and combat health issues and diseases.
