Greenberg Traurig Attorney Selected For Massachusetts Life Sciences Collaborative Task Force

BOSTON, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- David J. Dykeman, intellectual property and technology shareholder in the Boston office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was appointed to serve on the Massachusetts Life Sciences Collaborative's (MLSC) Research, Innovation and Commercialization Task Force.

The task force includes leading CEOs, academics, and venture capitalists in the life sciences and provides strategic guidance on issues related to life sciences innovation in Massachusetts. Dykeman is the only patent attorney on the task force.

"I am honored to be included in this important life sciences task force," said Dykeman. "The task force's efforts will help ensure that Massachusetts maintains and builds upon its preeminence in life sciences research, development and commercialization."

The MLSC seeks to create a cross-sector collaboration that can both sustain dialogue among life sciences leaders in academia, industry and government and also develop a comprehensive, integrated strategy to grow the life sciences mega-cluster in Massachusetts. The MLSC was founded by support from The Boston Foundation, the University of Massachusetts, Harvard University, MIT and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative's John Adams Innovation Institute.

"The MLSC is pleased to welcome patent attorney David Dykeman to the Research, Innovation and Commercialization Task Force," said Glen A. Comiso, Director of eHealth and Life Sciences for the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative. "David's experience protecting the innovations of early stage life science and medical device companies will be a valuable addition."

"We are excited by David's involvement with the MLSC's task force," said Gary R. Greenberg, Co-Managing Shareholder of the Boston office. "This opportunity will enable David to expand his already extensive knowledge of the life sciences and continue to provide clients with a superior level of service."
