Green Pet Products Introduces a New, Innovative Process to the Small Animal and Bird Litter/Bedding Category
Date:10/9/2007

CONRAD, Iowa, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Pet Products, an Iowa-based manufacturer of all-natural small animal and bird litter/bedding products, announces the development and introduction of a special sanitizing process for their cob-based litter products.

Organic-based litters have a natural microbiological content. Addressing growing concerns over this microbiological content and its adverse effects on animal health, Green Pet Products has developed a sanitizing process for use in its cob-based litter products after extensive research, development and testing.

This new, innovative procedure, named the PureLite(TM) Process, uses a special technique that actually kills the microbiological content commonly found in organic litter.

"This new process is really a breakthrough in the pet litter and bedding category," states Duane Leedy, President of Green Pet Products. "The litter category has really had very little innovation in the last several years. The PureLite(TM) Process is something new and different that will make a positive impact on consumers and their small animal or bird's living environment and set a new standard for cage cleanliness, providing a cleaner, fresher and healthier environment for their pets."

Green Pet Product's Clean-n-Comfy(R), Fresh Nest(R) and Natural Corn Cobs small animal and bird litter, featuring the PureLite(TM) Process, are now available at all Petco, PetSmart and other fine retailers.

Established in 1994, Green Pet Products manufacturers a full line of premium litter and bedding products for small animals and birds -- highly absorbent and extremely effective in controlling odors. Manufactured from renewable, biodegradable resources, our products are safe for small animals and birds.
