Grand Prairie of Macomb, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting an Alternatives for Older Adults workshop on Sharing the Caring at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13.
The community, which is located at 1307 Meadowlark Lane in Macomb, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
The workshop is open to the public and will focus on relationship building, how to deal with grief and loss, and how to gain the extra support needed to be a caregiver.
There is no cost to attend.

Grand Prairie is the only senior living community in McDonough County that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program, which enables the community to serve adults 65 and older of all incomes.
The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
