Grand Prairie Affordable Assisted Living to Host Sunday Dinner and Tours
Date:5/29/2013

Bradley, IL (PRWEB) May 29, 2013

Grand Prairie of Macomb, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a special Sunday Dinner and Tours from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.

The community, which is located at 1307 Meadowlark Lane in Macomb, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

"Come enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Magnolia's and then take a tour of Grand Prairie, including our recently opened expansion," says Andrea Keene, Administrator of Grand Prairie of Macomb.

Grand Prairie is the only affordable assisted living community in McDonough County.

"Information about Grand Prairie will be available and you'll be able to sign up for a chance to win great door prizes," says Keene.

The Sunday Dinner and Tours is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

For more information and to RSVP, call 309-833-5000.

Grand Prairie is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

"We provide older adults of all incomes with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Keene. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Among the features of the private apartments are a kitchenette and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, houskeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special events such as the Lasagna Supper," says Keene.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, "is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need."

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Aledo, Moline, Ottawa and Sterling, Illinois. BMA also manages John Evans Supportive Living in Pekin.
