Grand Canyon University Nursing School Announces Three-Year Partnership with American Heart Association

The Grand Canyon University Nursing School promotes wellness and preventive health among students and employees and is excited to announce their three-year partnership with American Heart Association (AHA) to sponsor the Go Red For Women awareness campaign.

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) March 25, 2010 -- The Grand Canyon University Nursing School promotes wellness and preventive health among students and employees and is excited to announce their three-year partnership with American Heart Association (AHA) to sponsor the Go Red For Women awareness campaign.

February is National Heart Awareness Month and the AHA is encouraging individuals to take charge of their heart health. In an effort to raise awareness of National Heart Month, the Grand Canyon University Nursing School invites individuals to take part in a number of special activities for students, faculty and the community.

"Grand Canyon University hopes that all the members of our community will join us in taking a stand against heart disease and learning to adapt and maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle," said Fran Roberts, Vice President of Strategic Business Alliances for Grand Canyon University's College of Nursing and Health Science.

These activities include: the Hearts in Arts campaign, where artists of all ages are invited to portray heart disease and health awareness through art and compete for prizes, watch Grand Canyon University's Go Red Video, watch the thought-provoking Go Red awareness video on YouTube that was produced by GCU students, heart-health lunch options in the Students Union, the Celebration Wall, which honors individuals whose lives have been touched by heart disease as well as a number of other activities focusing on heart awareness.
