YORK, Pa., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Danone Baby Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Divisions have chosen Graham Packaging's on-site bottle manufacturing plant in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, as the winner of their 2008 "Partners for Growth" Award.
"This award is the equivalent of a supplier-of-the-year award and is given for overall performance -- improvement of the relationship at all levels -- during 2008," said Rafael Fernandez, business unit vice president for Graham Packaging Company, L.P., based in France.
"The award is important because it strengthens even more the partnership between Graham Packaging and the Danone Group," he explained. "For the people at the plant, it is the result of three years of hard work to achieve world-class performance."
The Zoetermeer plant opened in 2006 and produces six-layer, high-density polyethylene bottles with oxygen and light barriers for Danone's Baby Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Divisions.
The award was presented Feb. 11 at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam by Jacqueline Hoogerbrugge, vice president of sourcing and supplier development for Danone's Baby Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Divisions.
