Good Feet Announces New Arch Support Product Line for Children Ages 6 and Older

Improve Your Child's Comfort and Performance during Sports or Play

CARLSBAD, Calif., May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Good Feet Stores, a California based franchise and retailer of custom-fitted arch supports and natural sponge rubber cushions, announced today that it has added a new line of arch supports designed specifically for children ages 6 and older. Two new arch supports, the "EnduraFlex" and the "SportFlex," are now currently available at participating Good Feet Stores nationwide.

The introduction of this new product line was a result of tremendous consumer demand from Good Feet customers. "We had literally hundreds of calls each month from parents searching for a support that their child could use during sports activities or in the fashion shoes they love to wear, which can offer little to no support," said Good Feet President David Workman. "We worked with doctors and advisors for many years to create these products that provide the right amount of support to growing feet. It was imperative to us that we manufacture a superior product that meets the needs of today's young people."

Today, childhood obesity and diabetes in children are rising at epidemic rates due to inactivity and poor eating habits. Experts recommend children accumulate 30-60 minutes of vigorous, active play or exercise daily, yet some kids aren't able to do so because their legs or feet hurt. For some children, weight-bearing pressure on growing feet can cause discomfort, discouraging participation in both play and sports. Even for very active children, exercising with inadequate support or improper footwear can lead to pain, fatigue and injury to growing bones. Good Feet's youth arch support line is designed to stabilize the foot and support the arches, providing comfort and balance that can lead to better performance.
