sis on detailed diagnostics, preventative strategies and advanced treatment programs.

Barbara Nicklaus, chairwoman of the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation, said she and her husband were honored to start “The Jake” to remember their grandson and initiate a fundraiser that will aid families facing childhood disorders and debilitating diseases.

Waterfront Properties and Club Communities commends the Nicklauses for their generosity to northern Palm Beach County and for providing those who purchase homes in the area with a better quality of life for themselves and their loved ones.

Funds from “The Jake” and from other sources enabled the Nicklauses to open their second clinic in Palm Beach Gardens in November of 2012. The Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Outpatient Center offers more than 21,000 square feet of treatment space in the Legacy Place shopping center off PGA Boulevard. The first Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Center opened in the western Palm Beach County municipality of Loxahatchee in 2010.

In the six months, the Palm Beach Gardens facility has helped care for and heal sick children, it was lauded by the International Data Group’s Computerworld Honors Program as a 2013 Laureate. The recognition is bestowed on organizations the those behind them that effect enlightened approaches to making the world a better place using information technology to promoting positive social, economic and educational change.

“The Jake” will enter its 10th year in 2014, raising another round of money for a worthy cause and bringing out the PGA Tours biggest players to The Bear’s Club.

The Bear’s Club has become a South Florida jewel not only because of its golf course but also because of its residential amenities. The luxury property offers estates, single-family home and golf villas and is filled with ecologically sensitive preserves.
