Golf Outing to Benefit Hospice Savannah

Savannah, GA (PRWEB) July 18, 2014

Hospice Savannah has helped many people care for their loved ones dealing with a life-limiting illness. Now, the family of a special patient is showing their gratitude for that care with an event that will benefit the not-for-profit organization. The 2014 Robbie Smith Golf Outing benefiting Hospice Savannah, Inc. will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Club at Savannah Harbor.

Robbie Smith was a vibrant, fun and sports-loving young man who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 1992. For the last decade, his family and friends have organized a fun-filled day of golf in his memory and in gratitude for the care provided by Hospice Savannah during the last 15 months of his life.

This year’s outing has a 9 a.m. shotgun start with a four-man scramble (captain’s choice) format. The entry fee of $100 per player includes beverages on the course, prizes and food served after the outing; $120 includes two mulligans, one raffle ticket, tee buster on hole 14, eagle putt on hole 7, and chance to win a complimentary round of golf. To register or become a sponsor, please visit or call Terry Webb at 912-547-6811 or Kevin Ainsworth at 912-655-1933.
