Date:3/18/2009

10 cents donated for every person that plays

PHOENIX, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Gold Canyon, a leader in candle, body and home products, is kicking off The Candle Game to benefit the Prayer Child Foundation. For every player that participates in the free online game, Gold Canyon will donate 10 cents to help children facing physical and emotional challenges. The Candle Game can be played online at http://thecandlegame.com and through Facebook on Gold Canyon's official group page.

"It's a great way to raise money for children with physical and emotional challenges," said Karen Waisath, Gold Canyon Co-Founder. "With an unprecedented number of uninsured families, children need our help more than ever. We hope The Candle Game will bring awareness to the needs of so many children and give hope to families that are feeling overwhelmed by their circumstances."

The money raised by playing The Candle Game online will benefit the Prayer Child Foundation, which was established in 2000 by Gold Canyon's founders, Curt and Karen Waisath, as their way of giving back to the community. The Prayer Child Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that seeks to make a difference in the lives of children with physical and emotional challenges by providing financial support, opportunity for involvement to help others and hope for a positive future. Gold Canyon's goal is to attract 50,000 individuals to play The Candle Game by April 30, 2009.

As a special thank you for playing The Candle Game, Gold Canyon will send players who register exclusive special offers and discount codes.

The Prayer Child Foundation recently provided financial assistance to the family of nine-month old Gavin DeForest, whose heart keeps enlarging for unknown reasons. Gavin has been in the hospital for approximately five months of his short life. He has a tracheotomy, feeding tube an
