Global Partnership for Telehealth Hires Matt Strickland as CTO
Date:3/15/2019

Matt Strickland has joined the Global Partnership for Telehealth team as the telehealth networking agency’s new Chief Technology Officer. Strickland is assuming the role following the departure of Jerad Johnson, former CTO of Global Partnership for Telehealth, from the company.

Strickland said he is excited to be working for GPT. “The telemedicine world seems to be an edge, something that’s growing,” he said of his career’s turn towards the telehealth industry. “I know it’s been around for a while, but I think a lot of people are just now catching on to what it is and what it does, and that’s exciting.”

Although Strickland may be the newest addition to the Global Partnership for Telehealth team, he is no stranger to healthcare IT. His resume is bolstered by more than ten years’ experience in both the information technology and hospital sectors. Before joining Global Partnership for Telehealth, Strickland worked as a senior technical analyst at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross under the Hospital Corporation of America. Additionally, he has held several IT-centered positions at various hospitals like the Mayo Clinic and also worked for the Ware County government as the network administrator for five years.

Strickland said that the expansion of Pathways, GPT’s flagship telehealth platform that went live last year, was one of the projects he was most looking forward to managing.
“I’m excited to take this leadership role,” he said. “I feel like this is the right next step for my career.”
