Caribbean Hospital Becomes Latest SafeTrace Tx(R) User

DENVER, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Med Technologies(R), Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GLOB) today announced that its Wyndgate Technologies(R) division has licensed its Safe Trace Tx(R) software to the Cardiovascular Center of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean (CCPRC) to manage its transfusion service. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

SafeTrace Tx is a revolutionary software product designed to raise the standard of care for patients, improve safety, reduce waste and increase efficiency in the blood transfusion continuum. With the number of surgeries performed by CCPRC, having an efficient software system to manage transfusions is critical. CCPRC selected the SafeTrace Tx system to interface with their Keane Laboratory Information System because of Wyndgate's solid reputation and the software's ability to enable CCPRC's staff to effectively manage orders and blood product inventory, further enhancing patient care.
