EdgeLab(TM) LIMS System Chosen by Hospital to Replace Its Aging Legacy System

DENVER, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Med Technologies(R), Inc. ("Global Med" or the "Company") (OTC Bulletin Board: GLOB), an international e-Health, medical information technology company, today announced that its Inlog subsidiary has licensed its EdgeLab Laboratory Information Management Software (marketed as "Labo Serveur" in France) to the Gabriel Martin Hospital of Saint-Paul de la Reunion ("Saint-Paul"). Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

EdgeLab, introduced into the hospital market in 1999 as "Labo Serveur", has become a leading Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in Europe with more than 150 licensed laboratory installations. EdgeLab is a powerful information management tool with a comprehensive range of laboratory functionality. It runs on a colorful, easy-to-use Windows(R) graphical interface. EdgeLab can be easily configured to meet the business needs of large, complex, multi-site hospital laboratories, as well as small, single-site hospitals that have much less complexity.

EdgeLab is connected with more than 1,000 analyzers and interchanges data with all major hospital healthcare software packages. Saint-Paul's laboratory processes 250 patient files per week and will directly connect 14 laboratory analyzers to the EdgeLab solution. Inlog's development approach is to provide laboratory software which offers production management as well as laboratory management. EdgeLab will help Saint-Paul experience greater efficiencies in their laboratory while offering reliability, quality and performance.
