Gilbert Hospital ICU in Full Swing
Date:9/24/2008

GILBERT, Ariz., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gilbert Hospital's ICU which opened just 30 days ago, is up to capacity with patients. The new ICU services the hospitals emergency department as well as the inpatient rooms. The three bed ICU is staffed with well trained and highly educated staff to ensure all levels of care are above expectation. Staffed 24/7, the Gilbert Hospital ICU is regularly at or near full capacity. Patients are in a private, restricted access area and are monitored constantly throughout their stay.

"This unit was built quickly and efficiently to help us fill one of the needs of the area," said Dr. Tim Johns, founder and medical director of Gilbert Hospital. "Once we got up to speed, treating and caring for these patients who require a little extra attention in their medical care has become standard operating procedure. Our patients feel more secure and the outcomes are better, too," continued Johns.

Gilbert Hospital is continuing its growth model at the community level. Building and adapting as the community grows, Gilbert Hospital has been able to steadily meet the needs of the surrounding area with well calculated and decisive growth, when needed and when patient demand calls for it. This approach has allowed complete utilization of the facility at a cost conscious level while keeping high standards of patient care. Growth plans continues as the much anticipated "Tower Expansion" is expected to begin construction in December 2008.
